One Year On
This blog went online a year ago, on 31 January 2008. Since then there have been 8,500 pageloads from 6,306 unique visitors of whom 854 made repeat visits. Not bad for a narrow interest, limited focus blog.

Congratulations! Take it from one who knows about having a "limited audience," readership becomes wider as time passes.
That is TOO funny! Usually all I have to do is post something on the Columbian Exposition, Al Capone, H. H. Holmes or the Everleigh Sisters. So tell me, are Assyrian sex words SEO?
OI History is a place for documentation and discussion of the history of the Oriental Institute. Participation and collaboration is welcome from anyone who has something to contribute to the discussion. You can contribute by commenting on blog posts, or if you wish to participate fully, by becoming a member of the blog community. To do this, send a message to Chuck Jones.
OI History is not a project of the Oriental Institute or of The University of Chicago. It is a private initiative of the participants who take full responsibility for its content.

Well thanks, Sharon! A wider readership would be gratifying, but frightening.
I was thinking of blogging an index of all the sex related words from the Assyrian Dictionary in a shameless attempt to draw readership.

Assyrian words? No. English equivalents? We shall see... perhaps...
